Piotr's culinary adventure began at Field’s Supervalu Skibbereen, where he spent twelve years mastering the art of seafood while working on their fish counter. During this time, he dreamt of creating something of his own. In January 2020, Piotr traveled to Tokyo and attended the renowned Tokyo Sushi Academy. Immersed in an intensive course, he gained invaluable skills and a certificate of competence. The experience not only refined his craft but also connected him with like-minded chefs from around the world. Upon returning to Ireland, Piotr made the bold decision to leave his supermarket job and follow his dream, launching TokYou Sushi during the challenging early days of the pandemic.
